FMP Mobile for iPhone

It did help with logging daily progress, especially tracking time cards for workers and equipment. The app lets you input stuff right from the job site, no more fumbling with sticky notes or forgetting details.

The good stuff

What actually worked well was the real-time sync. I’d punch in quantities placed at 3 PM, and by 3:05 the office had it. No delays, no double entry. Also, being able to view blueprints directly on the phone was a lifesaver when we were troubleshooting a pipe alignment issue. And recording safety meeting attendance? Simple, quick, and now there’s a record instead of someone saying “I think I was there.” It’s not flashy, but it just does what it says on the tin.

The not-so-good

Here’s the catch - this isn’t a standalone tool. If you’re not already using FieldManagement Pro, this app is basically useless. There’s no way to set up a project from scratch in FMP Mobile alone. And the interface? It’s functional, sure, but feels like it hasn’t been touched in years. No modern design polish, nothing that makes you feel like you’re using something current. Also, the user rating’s low for a reason - one star reviews complain about crashes during uploads, and I’ve seen it freeze when I tried to send a big document. Not great. And since the developer’s unknown and the license info’s missing, I wouldn’t trust it with sensitive project data if I didn’t have to.

Bottom line

If your team already uses FieldManagement Pro, then FMP Mobile for iPhone for Iphone is a solid choice for field data capture. But if you’re starting fresh, look elsewhere - like maybe a more flexible app with better support and clearer pricing. This one’s only for people locked into the ecosystem. Otherwise, skip it. It’s not bad, just niche and underwhelming outside its intended setup.
