The good stuff

It actually works. I’ve noticed pages load faster and don’t feel like they’re screaming at me to buy something. The built-in VPN is a nice surprise too - not full encryption, but enough to make me feel safer on public Wi-Fi. And hey, if you’re into messaging, Opera lets you jump straight into WhatsApp or Telegram right from the browser. No need to switch apps or sign in again. That’s a legit time-saver.

The not-so-good

It’s not perfect. The interface is clean, sure, but it feels a bit dated compared to Safari or even Chrome. Some gestures are inconsistent - like swiping left on a tab doesn’t always close it the way you’d expect. And while the extension library is decent, it’s not nearly as wide as Chrome’s. If you’re someone who relies on niche tools, you might hit a wall. Also, the “Opera” name can be confusing - there’s no version for Windows on iPhone, so if you’re searching for that combo, you’re just wasting time. This is strictly an iPhone app.

Bottom line

If you want a fast, no-BS browser that blocks ads, keeps your data a little safer, and doesn’t eat your battery, Opera is worth the download. It’s free, it works well on iPhone, and it’s got features most browsers charge for.
