The good stuff

It’s actually really fast at merging files. I had five pages of forms I needed to stitch together, and dragging them into the app took under ten seconds. No waiting, no lag. Also, editing text? It’s basic, but it works. I changed a typo in a document, saved it, and didn’t have to re-export the whole thing. The interface is clean, too-no clutter, just buttons that make sense. And hey, it’s free. Like, genuinely free. No “upgrade to unlock” nonsense. For someone who only needs to fix minor things or combine docs, it’s way better than trying to wing it with Preview or hunting down another app.

The not-so-good

But it’s not for everyone. If you need to add images, change fonts, or do anything fancy with layout, this isn’t the tool. It’s strictly for light-duty edits. I tried to resize a header font, and it just… didn’t work. Also, no OCR-so if you’re scanning old documents, forget it. And honestly, the lack of a proper file browser is annoying. You can’t drag folders in, just individual files. Plus, it doesn’t save your recent files list between sessions. Not a huge deal, but a little nice-to-have. If you’re doing heavy PDF work every day, you’ll probably want something more robust-like Acrobat or PDF Expert. But for casual use? It’s fine.
