The good stuff

The fact that it works without root is huge. I’ve used other packet sniffers before that needed full device access, and this one just… works. You connect to the same Wi-Fi, enable the proxy, and boom - all traffic shows up. It’s not flashy, but the interface is clean enough to follow along. The SSL decryption part? That’s the real win. It doesn’t decrypt everything automatically, but if you’re careful about the setup, you can actually read HTTPS payloads. I saw a JSON response with user IDs and tokens just sitting there - kind of wild. And being able to switch between hex and text view made parsing the data way easier than staring at random bytes.

The not-so-good

It’s not exactly polished. The UI feels a bit dated, like it hasn’t been touched since 2018. No search, no filtering - you’re scrolling through every single packet. If you’re doing heavy debugging, that gets annoying fast. Also, the PIN prompt after uninstalling? Yeah, that’s a thing. I forgot to clear credentials and spent ten minutes trying to figure out why my lock screen kept asking for a code. Learned the hard way: go into Security settings and wipe stored credentials. Oh, and don’t expect fancy export options - just save as a .pcap file, which means you’ll need Wireshark to really dig in. If you’re not already familiar with that, it’s another hurdle.

Bottom line

If you’re a developer testing APIs or just want to peek under the hood of your phone’s network activity, this is worth the download. It’s free, works without root, and handles SSL decryption better than most apps in its category. But don’t expect a full-featured packet analyzer - it’s basic, but functional. And if you’re not comfortable with a few extra steps post-uninstall, maybe skip it. For what it does, though? Solid choice.
