Turns out, it does-kinda. The open world of Auroa is massive, and honestly, the first time I saw those cliffs and tech ruins in the distance? I paused just to take it in. There’s real weight to the environment, especially when you’re crawling through a jungle under cover of night, trying to flank a drone-heavy enemy base.

The good stuff

The customization is where this game really shines. You can build your loadout from scratch-choosing weapons, gear, even how your squad behaves during missions. I once went full stealth with thermal optics, silent knives, and a remote drone to distract guards. It worked perfectly on my second try, and that moment of quiet triumph? Worth the 30 minutes of setup. Also, the AI feels smarter than most shooters. Enemies actually react to noise, use cover, and call for backup. Playing with two friends on Xbox Series X|S, we did a few side missions and a main campaign mission together. It wasn’t perfect-some sync issues popped up-but overall, it felt like we were truly working as a team instead of just tagging along.
